About Us
Our Philosophy
Summit Christian Preschool, formerly Summit Methodist Preschool (formed in 1972) provides an environment with a Christian atmosphere for children of all faiths. We seek to instill in each child the desire to learn. We will teach the skills needed to give the foundation for success in school and in life. We seek to provide activities for the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of each child in such a manner that the child learns with a positive attitude.
Anti-discrimination Policy
Summit Christian Preschool admits students of any race, color, national origin, and ethnic origin to all the rights privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It doesn't discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies.
Why Preschool?
Preschool is a child's first experience of school life. It is an important step in laying down the future school success. When your child enters preschool, she/he comes for the introduction to reading, writing, and math , but more importantly to build positive habits and learning experiences.
In preschool, your child learns to share, wait their turn and cooperate with other children and their teacher. Your child will learn to listen and develop a love for books. Children will be introduced to self-expression through speaking, singing, finger plays, drawing and painting. Your child will be encouraged to think through science experiments, cooking, and other problem solving situations.
You can expect growth and improvement in your child, but shown at their individual rate.
